MUMBAI: The International Academy of Television Arts
and & Sciences (IATAS) has appointed Eva Obadia as its marketing
manager.
In her new position, Obadia will oversee marketing,
PR and sponsor relations. She will report directly to the Academy's
executive director Camille Bidermann-Roizen.
In her earlier stints, Obadia has worked for companies
such as Reed Midem, SSA Public Relations, Gaumont and the Walt Disney
Company. She was previously the PR and marketing manager for producer
and distributor, TV Matters.
Iatas claims to be the largest organization of global
broadcasters. It has members from nearly 70 countries and over 350
companies. The Academy was chartered in 1969 with a mission to honour
and encourage excellence in television programming produced outside
of the US by awarding the International Emmy Award in eight categories.
