MUMBAI: Gautam Rajgopal, who recently quit Starcom, has joined Optimum Media Solutions (OMS) as the national buying head. Rajgopal was the TV buying head at Starcom.

Speaking to Indiantelevision.com Rajgopal states, "The primary reason was exposure to different markets. Also, the job role is extremely challenging as I will now be handling brands across the country."

Speaking on the development, OMS president Sandeep Viz says, "Gautam comes with a great deal of experience in the buying space. He's joined us as a national buyer to integrate buying across the country. He will be responsible for all the strategic brands OMS handles."

Rajgopal was with Starcom for over 16 months. Prior to that he was with Carat for three and a half years. Rajgopal enjoys an overall experience of over 10 years in the media buying industry.
