NIIT to enter into strategic alliance with SAP

MUMBAI: In what is being called as a strategic alliance, two IT majors, National Institute of Information Technology (NIIT) and SAP are joining hands to market and develop solutions of SAP. The alliance is scheduled to be announced in Mumbai today by NIIT Technologies CEO Arvind Thakur.

 
 
Key solution in the offing is SAP for Public Services. According to sources, the alliance defines NIIT as the service provider for SAP (SAP as the implementation partner) solutions to help various agencies in the government and public sector organisations build a system based on SAP solutions. SAP's range of solutions has a strong line up of 29 products. These include SAP ERP solution, my SAP business suite, SRM solution and Lease and Asset management solution.
 
 
NIIT has recently completed a systems integration project for the CRPF. This solution would help a jawan to track his upward movement and other personal information anytime, anywhere.
 
 

NIIT is a global IT solutions provider servicing customers in Asia Pacific, Europe, India, Japan and USA. Some of the accolades that the company has won include that of SAP's "Vertical Solution Reseller of the Year" award for Osprey.

SAP's most recent customer acquisitions include Ranbaxy, Tata Motors, Jet Airways, Tata Finance, Rane Group and Tata Teleservices.
