Winner of 'Thanda Aish Cash' announced; to fly to Cannes with Aishwarya

MUMBAI: Coca-Cola's ad on the 'Thanda Aish Cash' promotion announced the winner in Pramod Chaudhuri. As a result of this, he will get an opportunity to accompany Aishwarya Rai to Cannes for The Cannes International Film Festival.



The Coca-Cola Thanda Aish-Cash promotion was launched in February 2005 and used an innovative Thanda mechanism to reveal prizes to lucky consumers. The rewards ranged from cash prizes to dates with Rai. From 100 winners from across India, who got the opportunity to lunch with her, 'Lucky Ramu', was announced on basis of a lucky draw in Mumbai.



On winning the contest, Chaudhuri said, "This is truly a dream come true for me. I never thought this could happen to me. The promotion enticed me to try my luck but this is way beyond my expectations. I am thrilled at being the ‘Lucky Ramu’ and can’t wait to see the reaction of my friends and family on my good fortune. I am now looking forward to my dream trip to Cannes with Aishwarya."



Speaking about the promotion, Coca-Cola India general manager brands Madhavi Pahwa said, "The Coca-Cola Thanda Aish-Cash promotion was held in March. It is one of the first-of-its-kind on innovation, scale and execution. The ‘Thanda’ mechanic which is being used for the first time reinforces the strong connection with Coca-Cola’s brand identity established through memorable ‘Thanda Matlab Coca-Cola’ campaigns during the last few years. Also, Aishwarya Rai as a global and Indian icon, has connected very well with the hearts of our consumers and the grand prize of accompanying her abroad has been keenly appreciated."

The Cannes International Film Festival held in South of France is probably the world's most prestigious event in the Global film industry with an elite gathering.
