Visa sets up its Mumbai wing in lieu with expansion plans

MUMBAI: Visa International announced the expansion of its business operations in India with its inauguration of its Mumbai office. Visa India deputy country manager, Uttarn Nayak will head the Visa office in Mumbai.

The expansion is aimed at enhancing the Visa's business, technology and marketing assistance to its member banks Visa's growing number of member financial institutions located both in India and other South Asian countries.

 
 
The Visa International country manager, South Asia Santanu Mukherjee says; "Visa has been witnessing a tremendous growth both in volume and spread of business in India and the area countries. Our growing business volume, rising cardholder base, increasing number of member financial institutions and their geographical spread, and the need to be easily accessible due to the widening distribution network have necessitated the expansion."
 
 

"Our focus is to enhance in member profitability and assist our members with a range of services and technology to enable them provide superior payment options to their customers, We believe an additional office in India will go a long way in achieving this end," he adds.
