MUMBAI: The Financial Times (FT) and
Sony Ericsson have joined hands for a new mobile news service, which
will give consumers up-to-date global business and financial news
on their mobile phones. The service will be available from 22 September.
Sony Ericsson mobile phone will have access to FT's breaking
news which will be SMSed to them. A 30-day subscription package
of this service will be available for €5 or $5.
A media report said that Sony Ericsson users will be able to try
out this service with a one-day trial subscription downloadable
over WAP. The service will be available on Sony Ericsson T610, T630,
Z600, K500, K700, P800, P900, P910 and Z1010 handsets.
A media report said that this service is easy to use as it is only
one click away and provides easy navigation. FT Mobile head Steven
Trew was quoted in a media release as saying, "FT.com's
extensive reach is expanded once again by this deal. Our award winning
news, comment and analysis can now be accessed by Sony Ericsson
customers whenever they choose."
