Louis Vuitton to open its second store in India

MUMBAI: L V Trading India Private ("LV Trading"), an independent, non exclusive distributor of Louis Vuitton Malletier, a world luxury brand has opened its second Louis Vuitton store in India in Mumbai's prestigious Taj Mahal Palace & Towers hotel. Them launch of the Mumbai store is to mark Louis Vuitton's 150th anniversary this year.
 
 

The opening of a second outlet in Mumbai is in the wake of the response Louis Vuitton has received from its customers' in terms of the brand's latest trend setting designs as well as the growing success of the New Delhi store (opened March 2003) states the official release.

This store will offer the leather goods, luggage, textiles universe as well as the men's shoes designed by Artistic Director Marc Jacobs and also the Special Orders service.

 
 

"We are extremely excited to bring Louis Vuitton to Mumbai. Over the year and a half since the first store in New Delhi, we have seen a growing number of clients from Mumbai and surrounding areas. To fulfill the expectations and demands of our loyal clients, Mumbai warrants its own Louis Vuitton store. We selected the historical Taj Mahal Hotel as it reflects the spirit and 150 years of heritage of Louis Vuitton" saysLV Trading director BS Trivedie.

 
 
Based on renowned architect Peter Marino's concept for Louis Vuitton stores worldwide, the interior aims to evokes a sense of luxury and space emphasized by the original four-meter high arched ceiling. This event marks more than just an opening of a store, but celebrates Louis Vuitton and India's common destiny and passion for travel emphasises the release.
