DS Mittle & Sons bag the selling of exposure slots on Zoom

MUMBAI: Zoom, the television offering from the Times Group, has bestowed the duties of selling exposure slots to DS Mittle & Sons, the publicity and advertising agency for films after a multi-agency pitch.

The 24 hour, non-fiction channel is set to launch in mid-September as reported earlier. The slot branded as Zoom Theatre, which will essentially entail film promos will be marketed by the agency. Speaking to indiantelevision.com on what the differentiating edge was, DS Mittle & Sons managing partner Devesh Mittle says, "One of the key factors of winning the pitch was the fact that we are the oldest players in the selling of exposure slots. In fact, we pioneered the concept of film promotion on satellite channels in 1992 on Zee first."

The agency touts a record of promoting thousands of films in various languages so far.

Mittle adds, "The association with the Times Group will definitely make us bigger and add more credibility to our reputation. Both the firms involved have been associated with the industry for a long time and together we plan to give more benefits to the industry by offering a vast and incredibly visible platform to showcase their products. Also, considering Zoom is primarily a channel which offers lifestyle and high end personality and fashion programming, this will be a much bigger platform for Bollywood showcases."

Commenting on the same Zoom COO Apurva Purohit says, "Zoom will emerge as the viewers new choice because of its compelling content that stands apart from the programming that clutters satellite television today. Zoom is the first of its kind in India and with DS Mittle in our fold we will certainly become the best option for anyone wanting to reach out to a wide and up market audience."
