| The short ceremony was interspersed with two acts.
The first one was a heady mix of fusion dance with the central theme
of 'East meets West'. The second and more interesting act was that
of stand up comic and singer Ash Chandler, who had the audience in
splits. His gags at almost everyone in the world from George Bush
to Osama Bin Laden to Sting and from Indian mothers to Indian flight
attendants... were truly enjoyable.
Now coming to the awards... six categories of awards were presented
in the Consumer Products, Consumer Durables, Services, Corporate
Advertising, People's Choice Awards for Best Case study and the
Grand Effie. The winners were as follows:
