MUMBAI: The Walt Disney International India's media buying and creative accounts have been won by media behemoth WPP's group companies. Group M's Maxus, headed by CVL Srinivas, will be its AOR. Creative duties has gone to Contract Advertising.

As to the size of the Disney media account, conflicting estimates have been made available to indiantelevision.com According to one industry source, it is worth at least Rs 150. Another estimate was double that at Rs 300 million.

Five agencies were involved in the initial media pitch, which was finally whittled down to three and the account finally went to Maxus, according to sources.

Contract Advertising won the account in a multi-agency pitch that involved the likes of FCB Ulka, Leo Burnett, Euro RSCG and Lowe. O&M too was keen on pitching for the account but couldn't, as the agency handles the Star TV account.
