Purple Focus, Indore scores at Intl Creative Summit Awards

MUMBAI: The Indore based agency Purple Focus has won two trophies at the International Summit Awards in the US. The awards were constituted for agencies with billings under $15 million.

The agency won silver and bronze for its anti-drunken driving advertisement and breast cancer awareness posters respectively made for Naidunia Newspaper and the Cancer Care Trust of Madhya Pradesh.

The success follows on the showing last year where the agency had bagged Gold in the Outdoor Poster category. The agency's creative director Vinod Bhargav attributed the successes to a burning desire to excel and produce quality advertising.

While the awards are nowhere as big as Cannes some big names in advertising did participate. They included McCann Ericsson, Bates, Young & Rubicam West and Visage Publicis. This year the event saw more than 3000 entries from 20 countries around the world.

Purple Agency was started in 1996 as a small ad agency with four members. Its clients include Eicher Motors, Pinnacle Saporiti, Kriti Industries, Naidunia, Indore Management Association, Sprandi International and Punjab Jewellers.
