A company release states that ITZ Cash enables consumers to shop
online, buy Internet connection packages and play online games.
ITZ Cash comes in denominations of Rs. 100, Rs. 250, Rs. 500, Rs.
1000, Rs. 3000 and Rs. 7,500. Besides Indiatimes, the card is also
available across the country through 88 Asian Sky Shop franchisee
network, 3,500 Playwin retailers and 3,000 Dish TV outlets. The
company has already tied up with Rediff.com, Asian Sky Shop, HCL
Infinet, Dish TV and Playwin, to provide value options to consumers.
Intrex India executive director Naveen Surya added, "It is a win-win
situation for both Indiatimes and ITZ Cash. This association would
not only help ITZ Cash to reach a wider consumer base but also boost
up our endeavor to meet the aspirations of e-shoppers for a safe
and a convenient payment option.”
Indiatimes CEO Mahendra Swaroop said, “The card is a new payment
mechanism, ideal for youngsters who do not meet the stringent eligibility
criterion for credit cards. ITZ Cash will facilitate micro payments
for fun and entertainment activities like dating and classified
services of Indiatimes while maintaining privacy of users, thus
keeping fun and entertainment alive.”
