WTA's sponsorship deal with Whirlpool Europe

MUMBAI: :The Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) Tour and Whirlpool Europe have signed a multi-million dollar, three-year integrated partnership agreement.

 

In India WTA action can be seen on Ten Sports. The deal will enhance Whirlpool’s brand presence throughout Europe. Its sponsorship capacities will involve television, new media and community outreach.

An official release informs that the Whirlpool-WTA Tour partnership extends through 2006 and represents another step forward in the WTA Tour’s new global sponsorship strategy and comes on the heels of the Tour’s recent signing of an umbrella sponsor for the Asia-Pacific/Middle East region.

Whirlpool manufactures and markets home appliances. It claims to have over $12 billion in annual sales and nearly 50 manufacturing and technology research centers worldwide.
