PR 'summit' in Mumbai on 8 June: 'Quality and Standards' central theme

MUMBAI: Its that of the year again when the Public Relations Consultants Association of India (PRCAI) takes on leading professionals to enthuse and promote the advancement of the public relations industry from India. This time, the second of its kind, India Public Relations Summit 2004 is all set to be held in Mumbai on June 8, 2004 at the Taj Lands End Hotel.



This PR forum boasts of speakers like Nicole McMahon, Director Policy and Corporate Affairs, British Gas India Pvt Ltd; Jayant Murthy, Director Marketing, Intel Technology India; Ajay Kakar, Vice President, PRCAI and President, Ogilvy PR India; Sunil Gautam, Managing Director, Hanmer & Partners Communications Pvt. Tarun Deo, President PRCAI and MD Text 100 said, "The Summit will focus on the real life issues facing the public relations industry through two significant themes 'Bringing Global Standards to India' and Secondly 'Enhancing PR value within the communication mix".

With an approximate of 150 registrations from professionals across public relations firms, corporate communication managers, brand managers, senior management individuals as well as the media, this forum definitely seems promising in terms of its sheer size.

With the forum's main objectives being is stimulation and promotion of the public relations industryone hopes that the event will actually deliver all that it set itself to do.

The PRCAI, mooted by a group of seven leading public relations firms, is a pioneering body that represents the over Rs. 1 billion industry, which employs about 8,000 professionals today.
