Bruce
Oltchick
|
In his new role, Oltchick will be responsible for the advertising
sales operations of the Star channels in the region and will oversee
the companys research, sales traffic and presentation, client
communications and sponsorship activities. He will be reporting to
Star Group COO Steve Askew.
Commenting on the announcement, Askew said, We are glad to
have Bruce, an industry veteran, on board to help drive forward
our sales forces while we grow our portfolio of brands and services
across the region. Bruce brings with him a wealth of experience
in working with major international brands and I am sure he will
further enhance the quality of service we provide to our clients.
Oltchick, who has has over 15 years of advertising experience,
joins Star from Grey Worldwide, where he has spent the last nine
years. Oltchick was senior V-P at Grey and managed client services
and business development for the Asia Pacific region.
Grey, meanwhile, has no plans to fill the vacancy left by Oltchick's
switch to Star, Nirvik Singh, chairman, Grey Global Group South
Asia, tells indiantelevision.com. Oltchick's responsibilities
would be redistributed among the various regional heads, Singh says.
Prior to joining Grey, Oltchick, who is fluent in Mandarin, was
general manager of DArcy Masius Benton and Bowles in Mainland
China.
