Jacobs will be honoured for his achievements in art, creative direction, writing and design which have garnered him more than 150 national and international awards and distinctions.

He will be honoured during a special ceremony to be held in conjunction with the 49th annual PROMAX&BDA conference at the New York Hilton and Towers during 23-25 June, says a press release.

The association's highest honour, the hall of fame is presented to individuals in recognition of a career of outstanding contributions to the advancement of promotion and marketing of electronic media. The Promax board of directors collectively nominate and select the hall of fame inductee.

Chabin says: "For over 35 years, Ray Jacobs has been a major influence in the world of entertainment, as well as a leader in advertising and promotion. His achievements throughout his illustrious career have set new benchmarks for all us and have redefined how the industry devises and launches new promotional and marketing campaigns. It is with great honour that we bestow this honour to Ray among all of his friends and colleagues in the business."
