Ad Club Bombay to celebrate golden jubilee

MUMBAI: August 2004 is special for the Advertising Club Bombay as it completes 50 years. The club plans on celebrating this in a fitting manner at a function to be held on 21 August.

Gracing the occasion will be Reliance Industries vice-chairman and managing director and Rajya Sabha MP Anil Ambani as chief guest. He will deliver the keynote address, sharing his views on the growth of the Indian economy and the crucial role advertising can play.

The select audience will also get an opportunity to listen to the internationally acclaimed Jazz percussion artist, Trilok Gurtu.

There will also be an interesting advertising contest for agencies and advertising professionals on 'Creating Advertising About Advertising' and the winners will be awarded on 21- August function.

"In addition, we have several new initiatives that we plan on unveiling at the function. The club is an institution that has grown in size and stature over the last five decades. This celebration is but an occasion to get together, to remember the role played by the club in helping raise advertising standards, and thank the many people who have helped the club make a difference." says Ad club president MG Parameswaran.
