Grey steals Digjam from Contract

MUMBAI: Grey seems to be on an account bagging spree. In a recent development, Grey Worldwide has bagged the creative duties of Digjam Suitings. Following a multi-agency pitch, the textile major whose account is pegged at Rs 70-100 million chose Grey over Contract advertising, which was the incumbent agency to handle their creatives from now on.

Speaking to indiantelevision.com on what was their cutting edge, Grey Worldwide India CEO Ashutosh Khanna states, "The research that went into understanding the brand and its brand value in the market as well its distribution network most definitely paid off."

Speaking to industry sources, the textiles industry has been diminishing in terms of ad spends for the last couple of years. Apart from India, no other country advertises suiting material as a stand alone; and is usually an ad on to branded apparels. A high placed media personality states,"The market is maturing, and bagging an account like Digjam makes sense for an agency that is in the process of building volume rather than what the account is pegged at."

All in all Grey seems to be doing a fair job with their recent account acquisitions.
