Hutch to promote Hong Kong shopping festival '04 in India

MUMBAI: Cellular service provider Hutch will promote the "2004 Hong Kong Shopping Festival" in India for Hong Kong Tourism Board. As part of its tie-up with the board, Hutch will offer special travel packages to all Hutch and Orange users in the country.

The joint announcement was made by Hutch chief marketing officer Harit Nagpal and David Leung, Regional Director - South & South East Asia, Hong Kong Tourism Board.

 
 

An official release has quoted Nagpal as saying, "A significant proportion of Hutch users travel to the Asia Pacific region, including Hong Kong. We are offering special travel packages to all Hutch & Orange users, and running a special promotion to send five Hutch couples on an all expenses paid trip to Hong Kong for the Shopping Festival."

Commenting on the alliance with Hutch, Mr Leung said, "Shopping is one of the most popular activities among Indian visitors to Hong Kong. This year, the Hong Kong Shopping Festival highlights the amazing selection, the sophistication and diversity, late night shopping and dining besides the great prices. With this promotion, we are offering the best of Hong Kong to the extensive base of Hutch & Orange users in India."

The Hong Kong Shopping Festival is a ten-week, international celebration of shopping, dining and entertainment, being held in Hong Kong from 26 June 26 to 31 August 31.
