MUMBAI: Sports marketing major IMG today announced the appointment of Harish Doraiswamy as its business development head for the company. Prior to joining IMG, Doraiswamy was the COO of Adidas India.

In this newly created position, Doraiswamy will report directly to IMG/TWI South Asia managing director Ravi Krishnan.

Doraiswamy will be based in Delhi and his key focus will be to develop innovative marketing solutions that are aligned with the business needs of corporates in India.

Doraiswamy's brief, according to a company release, in addition to understanding the needs of IMG’s existing and potential customers, also includes interfacing with corporate groups and leaders to develop products and services that enable business growth.

He will also interact with sports federations and other professional bodies that provide a platform to develop and share best practice methods in an effort to "raise the high standards set by IMG in the industry", the release adds.
