Promax to be annual affair in India

MUMBAI: The Promax and BDA conference will henceforth be an annual affair in India.



Conferences are already being held in among other places the US, Australia and Arabia. MTV India managing director Alex Kuruvilla who inaugurated the two-day session today along with Promax president and CEO Jim Chabin, said he met with good appreciation of India's creativity and achievements in the allied creative fields of advertising and marketing when he attended an international conference abroad three weeks ago.



Chabin noted that a couple of months ago at the International Promax&BDA conference in New York MTV Networks president Judy McGrath had singled out India as being a very important creative hub. "Your work is being noticed and gaining more appreciation from you colleagues around the globe. The India conference has attracted over 400 delegates and 470 entries for our competition."

The conference is being held at the J W Marriott Hotel in suburban Mumbai, the first one to be held in India. is proud to be associated as official online media partner for the conference and the awards, which recognise excellence in on-air promotion, advertising and design.

The key sessions at the conference will include topics on on-air promos, new best practices 2004, Indian Pressure Promo Challenge, Has the 30'' Spot had its day?, World Gold Branding Broadcast Genres and Designer Promos! How to improve promotion with design.

Over 20 speakers representing the best of broadcast promotion and design professionals from Europe, North America and Asia are to be present at the conference, along with some of the best in design and promotion talents in India, who will also share some of their successes.

The key speakers include Star India COO Sameer Nair, Lee Hunt Associates' Lee Hunt, MTV India's Cyrus Oshidar and SET's Kunal Dasgupta among others.
