MUMBAI: Veteran journalist Dileep Padgaonkar and Hyderabad Blues
producer director Nagesh Kukunoor inaugurated Indira School
of Communication on Monday in Pune.
Formed under the aegis of the Shree Chanakya Education Societys
Indira Group of Institutes, the institute is headed by Shashidhar
Nanjundaiah, the erstwhile Symbiosis Institute of Mass Communications
director.
The first batch comprises of about 75 students- or trainees,
as the Institute prefers to call them.
According to an official release, Nanjundaiah states that the institute
is looking at training the students in systematic research.
"The need for media educators to concentrate on enhancing
the trainees learnability, application of concepts, research
thinking, strong curricular input, infrastructure, and industry
interface, he offered.
