Raj TV's B Shankar joins Turner International as director sales western India

MUMBAI: The former national sales head of Raj TV, B Shankar has joined Turner International as the director sales western India.

After a five and half year stint at Raj TV, as the national sales head, Shankar put in his papers last month. He ceased to be an employee of the Tamil entertainment channel as on 15 January 2004.

Officially, he joins Turner International on 21 January 2004. He will be reporting to executive director ad sales and marketing Sanjay Dhar.

According to information available with indiantelevision.com, Shankar will be looking after the western zone sales for Cartoon Network, Zee MGM, and Zee English channels.

A post graduate in System Management, Shankar started his career advertising and marketing sector at Get it Yellow pages in Hyderabad, followed by stints with investment firm Capital Market and then Indian Express. Later he joined Raj TV as the sales head and was promoted as the national sales head in Mumbai.
