In
the new TVC (television commercial) which is directed by Tarsem
Singh; Spears, Beyonce and Pink will be dressed up as Roman gladiators
while Iglesias will play an evil Roman Emperor. According
to a report in The Irish Examiner, the ad featuring the fab
four has been filmed in Rome and will hit television screens in
February.
Spears, who has been quoted in The Age, said, "Every
year Pepsi has come up with new and exciting ways to entertain music
fans around the world. With this year's line-up of talent they can
expect the best yet."

In another media report Beyonce said, "I really love Pink's
voice and Britney always has the best performances. It's great to
be in the presence of such great artists and entertainers and I've
been having the time of my life."

Pink who has never featured in any commercials prior to this is
pretty much upbeat about the new ad and said, "I've never been
in a commercial before so just that in itself was pretty exciting
to me. I always thought I would never take a can and sip it and
go "aaah" but I'm doing it now so it's pretty funny."
Pepsi's last major TVC starred soccer star David Beckham and his
Manchester United team-mates. In the past Pepsi has had biggies
like Robbie Williams, Madonna, Gareth Gates and Michael Jackson
in its commercials. In India, star icons like Amitabh Bachchan,
Shahrukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Fardeen Khan, Preity Zinta, Kareena
Kapoor and last but not the least, the Indian cricket team can be
seen in commercials promoting the brand.
