Hikal Limited is a global growth company in the areas of crop protection
chemicals, active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and biotechnology

(the winners of the Hikal Cup last year), ICICI Prudential, TATAs,
BSNL, Ernst&Young, MTNL, Kotak Mahindra, HSBC, Deolite Haskins,
EXIM Bank, HPCL, Rabo India and Indian Navy to name a few.
Celebrated columnist and the driving force behind the tournament,
Anil Dharker, "The Bombay Gymkhana boasts of artificially surfaced
courts, all floodlit and cleared for national level tournaments.
With such an infrastructure and a colourful sporting culture, it
is with good reason that Hikal Limited has teamed up with the Bombay
Gymkhana to organise a unique tournament featuring leading corporates
to play and meet in a sporting tennis ambience."
The format of the tournament: Of the several teams that will vie
for the cup, each corporate team will comprise a minimum of two
players and a maximum of four players. The tournament will be on
a knock out basis with each team playing two singles and one doubles.
The tournament will commence at 4.30 pm on Friday, 20 February and
will go on over the weekend followed by the the semi finals and
the grand finale on Sunday, 22 February.
The Bombay Gymkhana Hon. Secretary (tennis) Kiran Motwane said,
"In keeping with the gymkhanas constant endeavor to promote
sports and sportsman spirit, this tournament is a step further to
encourage corporate camaraderie and interaction in a friendly and
informal atmosphere. Bombay Gymkhana felt it was prudent to utilise
its excellent facilities to further this cause."
