Zuccarelli will continue to be based in GRB 's West Coast corporate
offices and will report directly to Reardon. In her new position,
she will be responsible for the sales and strategic development
in overseas markets, including Scandinavia, Latin America, and the
Middle East. She will also oversee an aggressive sales strategy
in order to continue GRB's concentrated overseas growth in the reality
and format programming sectors, including its flagship Next Action
Star.
In making the announcement, Reardon commented, "Marielle quickly
took ownership of her sales role, increased profits, and found ancillary
marketing opportunities in a brief period of time. She is an exceptional
salesperson, a strong leader, and the promotion is well deserved."
Prior to joining GRB Entertainment, Zuccarelli was director of
distribution for Hypnotic, a division of Universal Studios, where
she helped develop the international television distribution division
for the company. She developed relationships and later deals with
major European channels in France, Germany, Spain, Italy, United
Kingdom, Netherlands, Poland and Portugal. Zuccarelli also initiated
and negotiated co-productions in Italy and France and negotiated
the launch of a Hypnotic VOD channel in the Middle East.
Prior to Hypnotic, Zuccarelli was vice president of international
sales for Gotcha Entertainment. She created and launched the international
division of the Gagsters! property. She also oversaw the
TV licensing, merchandising, publishing, web development and media
relations' activities for the kid-market series. In addition, she
developed a database and initiated relationships with key youth
programming executives in over 50 countries. Due to her marketing
savvy, Gagsters! is currently licensed through GRB.
Before joining Gotcha, Zuccarelli was sales manager, USA for Cahners
International Television Group. In 1997, Zuccarelli co-founded and
held the post of vice president of international sales and acquisitions
for Future Entertainment International Ltd. While there, she developed
the international distribution division targeting the Eastern European
territories and opened a regional sales office in Poland. She managed
program sales of a diverse catalog of television and film properties
to over 20 television stations, which represented a reach of nearly
90 per cent of the market. Having generated revenue in excess of
$1.5 million, she also negotiated and acquired programming rights
from major producers in the US, Canada, Europe, UK and China to
build an extensive international catalog.
