A company release informs that as per the terms of the agreement, Hayek will serve as the spokesperson for Avon's flagship colour and fragrance brands. In the third quarter of the year, Hayek will begin appearing in print and television advertising for new colour and fragrance launches, and will also be featured in the company's brochures, public relations and the Internet.

The company further stated that the actor's personal story and values are a perfect fit for the brand. Both of them have a shared committment towards the empowerment and well being of women. Additionally, the Avon Foundation and Hayek will partner in broadening the foundation's anti domestic violence initiative. The Avon Foundation is a public charity championing the health and well being of women globally through philanthropic efforts.
