Dubai tourism department launches contest in Hyderabad

MUMBAI: Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) which organises the Gitex Hyderabad Computer Shopper - the IT and electronics shopping extravaganza has joined hands with the Dubai tourism department.

A promotion Visit Gitex Hyderabad Computer Shopper and win-a-holiday-to-Dubai will run during the event which takes place from 12-14 January 2005.

The contest offers one winner a trip for two people to Dubai. The winner will fly business class on Emirates, the national carrier of the UAE and will be provided with 5-star accommodation for three-nights (four days) with a comprehensive itinerary covering Dubai's major tourist attractions.

The Dubai tourism department has stated that the country has a perfect winter climate, top quality hotels and excellent facilities for a variety of sports and leisure activities. It combines all these with superb shopping. An important - but often overlooked - attribute of a holiday destination is the fact that Dubai is friendly, safe and virtually crime-free.

The Dubai tourism department has stated that it chose the Gitex event in Hyderabad as a venue to do a promotion as it attracts a high number IT professionals. Computer Shopper its retail counterpart gets very high footfalls.
