Celador Intl, CMate to launch 'Millionaire' mobile game

MUMBAI: While in India there are talks about Star Plus re-launching Kaun Banega Crorepati? Celador International and CMate have teamed up for a next year launch of a connected one-on-one version of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?, to be developed by CMate.

Celador International is the licencor and distributor of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? and CMate is a wireless game specialist company.

 
 

As part of the deal with Celador International, CMate will develop an application that will allow mobile phone users to challenge each other by using either JAVA or WAP in a real-time game of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?, for either points or real money. CMate will exclusively develop and operate the show's connected mobile multiplayer games.

 
 

CMate chairman David Chissick said, "CMate is thrilled to exclusively offer Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? as a connected Multi-player mobile game. CMate was selected to be the bearer of this outstanding format because of its unique technology enabling true multiplayer gaming regardless of handset type, communication protocol, network, country or language. We expect these games to be launched across the world in the near future."

Celador International director of interactive media Bruce Vandenberg said, "This is the ultimate challenge for Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? fans. Players can now compete for supremacy via their mobiles. We are delighted with the multiplayer application developed with CMate and look forward to the games' certain success."
