MSRDC opens new advertising avenues on Mumbai-Pune Expressway

MUMBAI: Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) that has constructed the 94-km long Mumbai-Pune Express Highway running parallel to the existing NH-4 alignment is inviting tenders from outdoor advertising agencies to avail of the opportunities offered by the unipoles put up by it along the Expressway, according to a press release

 
 

These have been constructed as per world standards. The size of the display is 15 meters by 4 meters, situated near the exits where the traffic normally slows down. The last date for submission of bids is 27 August till 3 pm.

 
 

MSRDC joint managing director V Giriraj says, "MSRDC has also developed wayside amenities such as petrol pumps, food malls, repair facilities, among other things, along the expressway. The Expressway facilitates safe and faster movement of traffic, saving fuel and has resulted in spurt of economic development in the region."

People who have used the Expressway do recognise the facilities provided and the fact that it saves commuting time between the two cities. There is an ever-increasing use of the Expressway and the users of the Expressway consist of business travellers, among others. The monthly traffic is more than five and half lakh vehicles.
