Percept D’Mark president (films) Alan Mans quits

MUMBAI: Percept D’Mark president (Films) Alan Mans has quit. Mans put in his papers on 6 August.

Known as a 'content and packaging' pro, Mans was the head of the films division on Percept D’Mark and was responsible for conceptualising and promoting Mr & Miss Bollywood - the talent hunt presented by Sahara Manoranjan.

Mans, a former professional photographer who first made waves during the Miss India contest in 1995, brought Bollywood films and the music to the Internet in 1996. He has developed tipsmusicfilms.com, T-series.com, ajaydevgan.com, and hrithikroshan.com among many other portals. Mans moved to Euro RSCG India to head their interactive business in 1999.

Mans joined the Percept group in 2003 and was put in charge of Mr & Miss Bollywood which triggered the spate of talent hunts by rival channels.
