P&G's casting coupe: Preity
to endorse 'Head & Shoulders'

MUMBAI: Consumer goods giant Procter & Gamble
has roped in Bollywood actress Preity Zinta as brand ambassador for
its personal care product Head & Shoulders shampoo.
The signing is perceived as a well-thought out move from P&G to
increase its market share in the country's 9-billion-strong shampoo
market. Career-wise, at present Zinta is on a roll with all of her
latest releases doing well in the box office.

Scooty and Nestles's Maggie had signed Zinta this year.
The dimpled actress, who had been associated with brands like Hyundai
Santro and Pepsi, has also been endorsing Cadbury's Perk
and Godrej's home appliances. Preity also writes a monthly column
for BBC Online on Bollywood.
Zinta had become a 'hero' off screen when at the Mumbai
sessions court she stuck to her earlier statement of receiving threatening
calls from the underworld during the shoot for the film Chori Chori
Chupke Chupke in 2000. She was the first film personality to have
supported the prosecution in the Bharat Shah case.
