Marketron Intl updates TV sales application

MUMBAI: Marketron International has updated its sales and research application, The Marketron TV Sales. The product is licensed by 90 per cent of the US television stations, the company claims.

The new version of Marketron TV Sales features numerous additions designed to help broadcasters increase revenues, improve accountability and enhance salesperson productivity.

The introduction of version 5.6 delivers a new programme ranker and the design has great flexibility and an easy-to-use interface. Marketron's ranker enables the station sales staff to tap Nielsen data and rank competitive programmes by a variety of criteria such as demographics, day parts and survey.

User-defined filters focus rankings on specific information. Results can be quickly transformed into beat, parity and numerical ranking reports. All this will help the broadcasters to close deals with prospective advertisers.

The new version also adds automatic posting capabilities for Nielsen's meter and local people meter (LPM) data. Automatically incorporating meter and LPM ratings into posting reports will save sales staff hours of data entry per week and improve station accountability.

The new version integrates with Marketron's TV Traffic and Business Intelligence applications to provide workflow between departments and real-time reporting.
