Shades dazzles the ramp with international eye wear

MUMBAI: A business venture set up by film actors Suniel Shetty, Sanjay Dutt and film producers Nitin Manmohan, Sohail Maklai and entrepreneur Hamed Saberi, Shades - a retail initiative in the eyeware segment- launched its first store with a high profile fashion show.

A brand owned by Shades Enterprise pvt ltd, Shades hopes to bring to the Indian consumer the latest in eyewear and optical products including more than 150 international brands like Armani, Versace, Rayban, Oakley and Ralph Lauren under one single roof.

The debut fashion show saw some of the leading models displaying the top of the line, latest international eyewear and optical wear sizzling the ramp at held at the Taj Krishna in Hyderabad on 10 April. Sponsored by spa Jurlique, the show saw Suniel Shetty, Sanjay Dutt walking the ramp with Aditi Gowitrikar, Jesse Randhawa and Tupur Chatetterji.

Made available retail through a franchise network, the eye wear will have a presence in all metros, mini metros and 10,00,000 plus populated towns in the country in the next one year, says a company release.

As for the fashion show, choreographed by Achla Sachdev, and anchored by singer Anaida the show had six sequences displaying the spunky Armani, Gucci, Rayban, Safilo, Versace, Tag Huer, Yves Saint Laurent, Oakley and Hugo Boss.

The six different sequences that were the highlight of the day were,

Paradise Regained by Anand Kabra, Last Resort by Meghan Modi, Sparty by Karuna Khaitan, Swimwear by Swapna Mehta, Formal by Omana and Club Wear by Rina Dhaka followed by the ramp appearance of Suniel Shetty and Sanjay Dutt, which had the crowds wanting more.

Models Anupama Varma, Aditi Gowitrikar, Jesse Randhawa, Diandra, Gowhar Khan, Tupur Chatterji, Viveka, Candice Pinto, Sheetal, Carol, and Deepti Gujral dazzled the audience with their sleek presentation. Saxophone player, 23 year old Raghav, had the audience spell bound with his music.

Rina Dhaka for the Indi pr?t line - Rathod Jodhpur Kavita Bharatiya, Karuna and Sharada Khaitan were the designers for the show. Event was managed by TW&BBC, stage and set by Pooja Dalal of Global Rapport Events, adds the release.
