MUMBAI: For a special occasion called life... that seems like an apt line for Tanishq's latest collection 'Tanishq Daytimes - All day Diamonds'. Diamonds have often been associated with opulence but doesn't seem so anymore.

The jewelery line got actor Saif Ali Khan to unveils Tanishq's refreshing range of everyday diamond jewellery at an event held for the media and select customers, in Delhi.

The range of diamond jewellery is aimed at providing today's woman with a set of diamond jewellery for everyday wear, at reasonable prices. Sort of a a paradigm shift in the adornment of diamond jewellery in the country, the wide collection of daytime diamond jewellery starts at a highly affordable Rs 1960. It has been designed to be a part of the Indian woman, all the time and through
everything she does, says a company release.

According to Tanishq marketing head Ruchira Puri, "Saif Ali Khan, over the years, has moved away from his traditional, 'Royal' lineage to firmly establish himself as a leading performer amongst peers in the industry. Tanishq Daytimes also strives to bring in a new and refreshingly contemporary image to the traditional stone with the launch of this collection."

"Fashion and style, according to me, has to have a certain understated, casual elegance about it. Increasingly, world fashion is moving on these lines. I think the Tanishq Daytimes range also reflects this trend perfectly," said Saif Ali Khan.

He added, "I like things which are 'casually stylish'... my clothes are almost like my second skin! Now imagine women's jewellery like that! Wow! That's really cool."

Touted as an ode to the woman of today, the Daytime range caters to working woman's style by combining the modern with the traditional. According to the release, the range has traditional motifs entwined in simple clean lines. The range has an array of finishes and has slight accents of black rhodium that render novelty to the prevalent style thereby catering to individuality.

The range comprises varying looks in the dewdrops collection, the pretty collection, the solo collection and the working women's diamond collection.

Dew drops holds singular diamonds at the edge of the gold form depicting the way dew drops cling on to the leaves, while Pretty is a reflection of freedom in form and style to render extremely interesting and sensuous products. Solo brings solitaire diamonds with swirling white and yellow gold around it and the Working woman's diamond collection has diamonds set individually and in clusters to capture the luster and 'fire' and therefore enhance the beauty of the gemstone in the fairly small area it occupies.

Besides starting jewellery prices from a very affordable RS 600 and having a special custom designed high value sets, Tanishq also offers exchange for any jewellery and also offers a savings scheme called "Golden Harvest".

A unique aspect of Tanishq's offerings is that a Certificate of Authenticity, certifying the purity of Gold and the colour, clarity and karatage of each diamond, accompanies each piece of jewellery.
