Kintop Pictures to market 'Passion of the Christ' in India

MUMBAI: Kintop Pictures has secured rights for Mel Gibson?s blockbuster film Passion of the Christ for India, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bangladesh.



Helmed by Indian born producer Deepak Nayar, Kintop Pictures is involved in development, production and distribution of cutting edge feature films from around the World. Based in Los Angeles, Kintop Pictures recently produced Bend it Like Beckham, Gurinder Chadha?s commercially hit feature film that has grossed upwards of $ 100 million in worldwide sales. Currently it is producing Gurinder Chadha?s Bride and Prejudice with Aishwarya Rai and Martin Henderson, scheduled for release worldwide in October 2004.

Passion of the Christ has grossed more than $ 300 million to date worldwide to become one of the biggest blockbusters of the year. In the US, it is projected to gross in excess of $ 400 million at the end of its run making it amongst the top ten highest grossing films ever.
