An official release informs that the completion of the line up
was achieved in record time. There are still over six months to
go until the tournament kicks off in Lisbon on 12 June 2004. The
release adds that the marketing programme's completion demonstrates
the strength of the Uefa European Football Championship and supports
Uefa's strategic decision to market the rights in-house. This has
resulted in record marketing revenues - achieved in challenging
market conditions - for Uefa's most prestigious competition.
