Kids have a blast at Hallmark's 'Play With Me Sesame' event

MUMBAI: It was kids day out at Priyadarshini Park on Saturday evening. The occasion was Play with me Sesame fun day organised by Hallmark Channel.

For the event Hallmark Channel joined hands with Headstart, a premium "multi-activity workshop centre" for kids. The reason is that Headstart's play and learn modules have a potential synergy with the objectives of Hallmark's series. The interactive half hour series Play With Me Sesame airs every weekday at 8 am and 3:30 pm, while on weekends it airs at 8 am.

Priyadarshini Park wore a festive look with balloons, streamers and over 500 kids. They had a jolly time on the merry-go-round, moon walker, giant wheel along with the fun edutainment games and the eateries. Mothers were seen supervising the stalls at the event in full-throttle. Among the mothers was Bollywood actress Juhi Chawla with baby Janhavi. Children winning games were given prizes. However no kid went home empty handed. They were given several goodies like Play with me Sesame stickers, bags and posters..

Hallmark India's GM Amitabh said, "Play With Me Sesame prepares pre-schoolers for primary education and its interactive approach will satisfy the needs of today's parents in ensuring the best for their children. The association with Headstart, helps us reach out to the kids and we're sure they will enjoy the series tremendously."

The edutainment series Play With Me Sesame mimics a child's playdate, giving them lots of exciting ways to play along and participate with their favorite Sesame Street Muppets. Each episode features newly created segments mixed with classic Sesame Street footage inviting children to engage in specific fun activities. The shows participatory approach helps young children prepare for school socially, emotionally, and intellectually. The show aims at supporting children's creativity and individual expression. In addition, the show lays stress on the fundamental concepts critical to learning how to read and to do math and science.
