Thus spoke Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani about the possibilities and challenges thrown by globalisation, changing demography, technological revolution, and widening economic disparities in defining the new world landscape.

Ambani was speaking during the Chairmen's Round Table this morning along with Aditya Birla Group chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla. The session was moderated by Ian Batey chairman Batey Advertising.

Delving into the past as well as recounting the positive economic landmarks India had achieved, Ambani said “building brand India is an imperative we cannot afford to ignore. In fact it is the new commandment of the new age.”

According to Ambani, "A nation’s brand is a powerful means for value creation and global leadership in this age of globalisation and competition."

Warning that building brand India was no easy task, Ambani said it would only have global appeal if it “delivers value to the rest of the world, strikes an emotional chord among citizens in all parts of the world and inspires the enterprising communities across the globe.”
