Under the new scheme, the range of Hindi VCDs covers over 200 titles and includes blockbuster films like Roja, Mission Kashmir and Dil Vil Pyar Vyar . The premium range at Rs 149 includes old classics like Mughal-e-azam, Pakeezah, Awaara and superhits like Hera Pheri, Taal and recently released films like Stumped and Haasil.

To create awareness, the company has created a television spot in the form of a trailer. They will also use print ads in major p[ublications like Mid-Day.

Shemaroo has also announced the special DVD edition of Mr. & Mrs. Iyer. Though the film airs on Star Movies on 12 July at 9 pm, the company is confident that the extra features will make viewers want to add it to their collection. The DVD has several special features added to enhance the viewer's experience such as director Aparna Sen's choice of three favourite scenes from 36 Chowringee Lane, her directorial debut. Mr.& Mrs. Iyer contains English, Hindi, Bengali and Tamil subtitles. This film has been made by a variedly talented team of individuals. The 'Making of the Film' special contains interviews with the director and the stars. It also offers original Dolby 5.1 sound for real theatrical effect.
