'Day in the life of a TAM Mate' session on 5 August

MUMBAI: TAM India will conduct a full day workshop for media planners and buyers in August (on 5 August and 19 August) 2003 at their Mumbai head office. The workshop will also be held in September (2, 16, 30) and October (7, 21).



Since last year, the company claims to have initiated a novel programme for the new 'walk-ins' into the media sector christened as "Day in the life of a TAM-MATE". The idea is to expose them to the various aspects of the Television Audience Measurement functions during the course of the day.

According to a TAM India statement, the day long session promises to stimulate learning and knowledge sharing. The sessions will envelop various aspects of media ranging from the methodology of data capture by TAM, various ways of data usage to CAS and the concerns around it.

The statement says that programme will address the following areas:

? Background of TV audience measurement research

? Sampling, methodology and research design of the TAM panel

? Visit to a dummy PeopleMeter installation setup for data collection

? Understanding some of the media planing and buying terminologies

? Exposure to the user-end TAM software and its various use

? Understanding the implications of factors governing audience viewing behaviour

? Sampling the use of TAM databases available for analysis

(Xpert - Optimiser, ConnecTAM, AdEx).

? CAS and its implications on future of television media.
