Ashutosh Khanna appointed as COO of Grey India

New Delhi: Grey Worldwide India senior vice-president Ashutosh Khanna has been promoted to the position of chief operating officer. In his new role, effective from the next year, Khanna will manage all the advertising branches of Grey Worldwide in the country.

Confirming the development and praising Khanna's performance in the last five years, Grey managing director Nirvik Singh said, "Ashutosh has grown the Delhi office from Rs 15 crores five years ago to Rs 150-160 crores till date. We have an enviable client list in Delhi and we need to replicate this in other markets as well. This move means all advertising branch offices would report to Ashutosh. This also gives me an opportunity to focus on non-advertising business closely."

On his new role and what's on his agenda, Khanna said, "Well its too early (for me to say). But firstly I would like to know everyone and then move on from there."

On his stint with the agency, Khanna said, "Grey is a wonderful organisation to work with. The kind of freedom it gives, it inspires one to set targets and go for them accordingly. We have tried to set up a good workplace and for that we have hired people from outside as well. The idea is to make work relevant and at the same time, distinctive, too."

"The wins this year include Samsung, Hyundai Terracan, strengthening of the relationship with GE Capital and the Ministry of Finance," said Khanna, reflecting on new business wins this year.
