LG earmarks Rs 200m for 'No. 1 Celebration' campaign

NEW DELHI: With the summer heating up manufacturers of cooling ingredients are coming up with interesting promotions to catch the consumers eye. The latest one comes from refrigerator and AC manufacturer LG Electronics.

The promotion LG’s 'No. 1 Celebration' combines education about the benefits of its product portfolio with cash discounts and prizes. Through the initiative, the company is hoping to reinforce its numero uno status in the industry and has set aside Rs 200 million for the campaign.

The promotion runs till 18 May. In order to participate in the contest, consumers are required to purchase an LG product from any retail outlet during the contest period. The purchase will entitle the consumer to a double scratch card by which they could win an instant cash discount on the product and prizes from the LG stable.

This year, dealers too have a lot to gain from the LG promotion. They earn points on every sale of a product. The points however will vary from product to product. The collection of 500 points will entitle the dealer to participate in the draw which will be held at the close of the contest. The winners will win holiday packages to Mauritius, Thailand, Malaysia, Australia or Europe
