CALIFORNIA(US): In a bid to connect further with the youth market,
MTV has announced that it will release the big screen version of
its hit series Jackass in the US and Canada in over 2500
theatres on 25 October.
In India, the show airs on the channel on Saturday at 11 pm and
Sunday at 10:30 pm.
Going where no movie has gone before, Jackass The Movie
is an 80 minute feature- length film with the original creators
and cast of the series. Shot in Pennsylvania, Japan, Florida, the
Pacific Northwest and California, the film will feature the jackasses
performing their wildly absurd signature antics, and push the envelope
even further with a slew of brand-new silly pranks and outrageous
stunts.
Knoxville and the gang wander around Japan in panda outfits, wreak
havoc on a once civilized golf court. They even do stunts involving
live alligators.
The film is directed by the new kid on the block Jeff Tremaine,
who serves as producer with Spike Jonze the director of Being
John Malkovich and Johnny Knoxville.
