MUMBAI: Bharti Tele-Ventures is all set to launch its first television
campaign for its prepaid mobile card "Magic" with film
stars Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena.
The 50 second commercial aims at establishing a connection with
the target audience and expand the market for prepaid cards, says
a report in the Business Standard.
The strategy has been adopted to tap the vast intending mobile customers
from SEC A,B and C and correct the perception that the mobile category
is useful for business or work -related scenarios alone.
The commercial has been created by Percept Advertising and will
be on air in the second week of this month , says the report.
According to the statistics quoted, the market for prepaid mobile
cards is a whopping 25 million. " By using Kareena and Shah
Rukh Khan , the aim is to address this potential market mainly in
the category of 15-25 age group. This is the generation that wants
their dreams realised instantly. And the tagline Magic Hai to
Mumkin Hai is all about empowering these individuals",
Bharti's Director (marketing) Hemant Sachdev says.
