Association (WMA).
Disney Online entered in four categories and won awards in each
of them.
1. Outstanding Entertainment Web Site -- Awarded to Disney.com
(www.disney.com) for overall outstanding achievement as an online
entertainment platform with original content and advanced technical
features found within its "virtual theme park."
2. Outstanding Game Web Site -- Awarded to Disney's Blast (www.disneyblast.com),
the leading online club for kids, which offers more than 100 games
and activities in a secure, parent-trusted environment. Disney's
Blast is a subscription-based, advertising-free service now in its
fifth year.
3. Family Web Site Standard of Excellence -- Awarded to FamilyFun.com
(www.familyfun.com), a site produced in partnership with FamilyFun
Magazine, recognizing its leadership position in delivering compelling
content for families online. FamilyFun.com combines editorial content
with interactive elements and suggestions for offline family activities
under the banner "Great Ideas, Practical Advice, Fun Stuff To Do."
4. Movie Web Site Standard of Excellence -- Awarded to Movies.com
(www.movies.com), a leading site for movie fans that provides a
broad array of news "from rumor through release," reviews, show
times and ticket sales.
