Supermodel Cindy Crawford is all set to sport a new look in
a new Diet Pepsi commercial. In America the ad will air on
ABC-TV during the 74th Annual Academy Awards on Sunday.
An
official release informs that the new Diet Pepsi spot updates
an award-winning ad which had been produced for regular Pepsi
in 1991. The tagline was 'Is that a great new Pepsi can or
what?'.
The
new commercial called Two More Kids, sees Crawford
comes across a Diet Pepsi machine with sparkling new bubbly
blue graphics at a dusty old country store. The song Just
One Look, plays in the background. Two kids look on as
Crawford takes a long, slow, gulp ofthe beverage. Are they
mesmerised by the woman or by the new look of Diet Pepsi?
The spot is updated to reflect changes in Crawford's life
since the last commercial was filmed.
The
commercial unveils the new tagline, Think Young, Drink
Young the release states. Before the Oscar telecast Diet
Pepsi will have an online promotion on http://dietpepsi.yahoo.com
Consumers can watch the spot on the site beginning today or
watch it live on the Oscars. The site will then ask a trivia
question about the commercial. The lucky winner receives a
45-karat diamond and sapphire necklace valued at $75,000 the
release states.
Meanwhile
bottled water brand, Aquafina also has ad plans up its sleeve
on the Oscar telecast. The ads will feature the voice of Robin
Leach. Aquafina will aim at synchronising the product with
Hollywood's biggest night. Leach gives an award-winning performance
as he describes situations where "nothing" turns out to be
the most prestigious "something" you can receive from bottled
water.
