MUMBAI:
After launching the country's first all girl pop band amid
much hype, Star has gone a step further with a six-part VCD
pack that traces the evolution of the group from simple teenagers
into glamorous singers.
According
to the channel, the glam reality show that traced the talent
hunt across Indian metros and watched their gradual metamorphosis
into groomed artistes resulted in the band, Viva!, being on
top of the charts across channels and music shops. The VCD
pack, scheduled to hit shop shelves by the end of this month,
is called Making of the band - VIVA! The pack is available
in two categories - six individual VCDs and a box set with
6 VCDs & a free VIVA! audio CD traces the hectic physical
training, voice modulation, music training and grooming, along
with the excitement, agony and ecstasy. The individual VCDs
are priced at Rs 150 and the box set at Rs 799.

Kapasi says this is his company's first serious foray into
distributing Indian television programming through Home Entertainment
medium on VCDs.
