MUMBAI:
Jewelry designer Nakshatra will take its relationship with
former Miss World and current Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai
a step forward with the new Nakshatra TVC.

The best names in the industry have contributed to the making
of the commercial, with costumes designed by Hemant Trivedi,
choreography by Shiamak Davar, lyrics for the voice over by
Gulzar and music comprising of specially composed Buddha Bar
Mixes. Special effects and post production for the film have
been done at Smoke and Mirrors, considered to be one of the
best studios in London.
The TVC is based on the idea of the Cosmic Union. The
design element consists of a floral pattern in which a circular
cluster of diamonds encircles a solitary central diamond.
The commercial has been conceptualised by HTA. According to
a company release, Rai epitomises the qualities of the Nakshatra
woman - mystical, ethereal and feminine. Aishwarya is seen
as an excellent fit for the company's brand values which are
simple yet classic, Indian yet contemporary. The ad aims at
presenting a product which is wearable, yet unique, says the
release.
The
commercial begins with the image of a landscape somewhere
in the cosmos, the sky clustered with a million stars awaiting
a celestial event. The celestial being, Aishwarya Rai, floats
down and starts performing a tribal dance through which she
invokes the elements to unite. The stars and the elements
come together give birth to the brightest circle of light
- Nakshatra, an eternal circle of light that captures the
essence of Indian tradition and then presents it in modern
designs.
