MUMBAI: The gloss of innovation varnishing its surface, Super Dancer Junior, Amrita TV?s iconic, high voltage show has donned new anklets to take the stage and dance into its next edition. The mega league dance reality competition which is creating series history by pirouetting into its 6th successive season, will be telecast Monday through Friday at 7pm from January 21st.

The first ever dance reality show to debut in Malayalam, it holds the exclusive patent for discovering and molding outstanding talents in the 9-15 age group. A primetime superstar that had been the toast of the town since its launch, every generation of the series has left a montage of indelible images from the footage of its extraordinary performances on the memory of its viewers.

Taking a detour from the conventional reality route in which the aspirants are blue pencilled down to the final contestants through repeated trials, Super Dancer Junior -6 has singled out 40 competitors from the serpentine queues that choc-a-blocked every audition centre. The 40 will be put through a number of ?decider? rounds that will seal their entry or bar the way into the competition. The hard fought final stage that will place them in high combat zone and cast the die to field 20 of the very best ,will be aired for the first 20 episodes of Super Dancer Junior -6.

The contestants will be shaking a leg and waltzing into the genres of contemporary, western, semi-classical, hip-hop, jazz or disco on a charmingly decorated, glittering new set constructed on the Chitranjali Studio Complex and illuminated by new designer lighting pattern that will play up and compliment the movements, grace and expressions of the participants like never before.

The winds of change breezing over the show has transformed one of its main protagonists, as a fresh hostess will be taking over the mike and doing the honors this season. Soja, an upcoming film star will be anchoring the programme and lending it a new character hereon.

Sudha Chandran, familiar to Malayalee audiences for her brusque ,crusty comments matched by her equally no-holds-barred wardrobe selections and startling embellishments along with the unassuming but perceptive Shanti Master will be officiating as permanent members of the Jury Panel to help to retain the original flavor of this reality pioneer.

As the latest edition of one of the most successful dance reality series that has won standing ovations from its viewers opens its account with fanfare and cheers , young dancing hopefuls of the State get another chance to run up the ramp of their ambitions and open the lattices of their dreams.
